Verbal Consultation
A pre-paid $100, up to one-hour, on-site consultation with an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist is your first step to evaluate tree health, structural risk, preservation potential, and site conditions.
This service is ideal for gaining professional insight into safety concerns, development impacts, and potential permitting requirements, or a helpful second opinion. Guidance is provided verbally during the visit, allowing clients to ask questions and understand next steps in real time.
Verbal consultations are advisory in nature and do not include written documentation, but feel free to take notes during the meeting. You or a representative must be present, though in certain situations a video call may be acceptable. All consultation fees are credited toward future report costs.
Our verbal consultation provides an on-site evaluation of tree health, risk, and site considerations. This initial conversation helps clarify next steps, including whether a formal arborist report or additional services are recommended.

Meet the Arborist
Our founder and lead arborist, Timothy O’Connor, is a Portland native who always had a love of trees. After completing school on the East Coast, he unknowingly began his lifelong career by answering an ad that read, “Climb trees for $$$.” He started dragging branches and quite literally climbed his way to the top of the industry. With 18 years of experience mastering climbing, pruning, safely removing trees, and even operating cranes for large removals, he decided it was time to take the next step and began consulting. During the last 7 years, he has helped countless people with advice, had over 100 tree protection plans approved by the City of Portland alone, and even led tree preservation for large municipal projects like the light pole replacement project for the City of Portland Parks & Recreation. Now, with a total of 25 years of experience, he built his family business to help the residents of the Portland area intelligently navigate the world of arboriculture set in an urban environment, all while passing on his invaluable knowledge to his apprentices.
